Easter!

These pictures are not in order so bare with me please! Easter was a good one this year. We spent the day at Tylers parents house, his mom and I prepared a tri-tip beef roast. It was my first time ever doing something like that, we had to prepare and herb rub and everything. I made the cakes below :)

Me and my lova <3...This was after 4 hours spent out at the track for his first time riding a dirt bike in about 3 years! And I was making the cakes, so excuse the apron, frosting on my chest and overall appearance :)

Tyler getting ready to go ride! I was so proud of him, he didnt crash once! Thank goodness too because I was so nervous for him. I spent my time standing down in the mechanics pit biting my nails and pacing around lol. Everytime he stopped for a drink, I begged him to check his blood sugar. I think I was more nervous about him going low while riding then I was about him crashing. He was pretty sore for about a week afterwards, his palms were completely blistered, his back was sore and his butt was all bruised :( He spent most of that next week on the couch lol

What I wish I had a picture of was us trying to off-load the bike from the truck just before we went to his parents for dinner. I was in a dress and heels, hair and makeup all done and there I was stradling this 300 pound bike that was covered in mud. Tyler insisted he didnt need some kind of a ramp, he kept saying he could just lift it....YA RIGHT! I of course had to get up there and help and got all dirty. But I was laughing pretty hard, it must have been a sight to see!

The one with the dogs and a new pool...

With summer approaching Tyler and I have been very anxious to get the boys used to water and swimming. Especially Koal and all of his fur, he hates the summer time and this will be a perfect way for him to cool off whenever he needs too. So today I stumbled apon this large plastic kiddy play pool thing at Walmart and we got it!
This is how it all started, Kody decided it was his pool and nobody was allowed in....
Still defending his pool and refusing a picture....
And Koal...he got in once, stood in the water funny and kept lifting his paws out of the water like it was hurting him. So he got out and pretty much just watched after that.

He's so big! 8 months old today!

Changes

"Change is the essence of life. Be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become." - unknown
I enjoy change. I always have. I think it spices life up just enough and keeps everyone from becoming to bored with life. With that being said, there have been 2 BIG changes in our life lately: My hair, and a dirt bike.
Earlier this month I became "bored" with my look. I was craving change in a bad way so I turned to my usual back up, my hair. I had just recently colored it so naturally cutting it was my only option. I gathered up all my courage, and my desperate need for change and headed to the salon for a new haircut. My hair was LOOOOOONG, and a pain in the butt so I wasn't really sad to see it go. I was planning on trying a new shoulder length A-line cut. I told the woman about 18 times that I wanted ONLY 7 inches cut off, I wanted the back to rest below my shoulders. She said OK, and proceeded to cut. Since I was looking down I couldn't feel where exactly she was cutting but when I looked up and realized she had cut more like 10 inches off and cut it so short she had to use the electric razor on the back I started crying. I forced change and this is what I got. It's slowly growing on me, I am still uncomfortable with it and don't think it looks good no matter how I style it so I have only 2 pictures (because Chaeli made me). I can't wait for it to grow out more.

Ugh. SO disappointing. It looks longer when I have my hoodies on but now its hot outside i've started wearing tank tops again. And now I feel all nekked when i'm outside. I'm not used to having a bare neck. It's just hair, and it will grow but ask pretty much any girl. Our hair is like the center of everything. Bad hair days can destroy a whole day!
Our 2nd big change is this monster...

It's Tylers YZF-450 dirtbike. He found some guy online who fixed it all up for him for a very reasonable price and he is like a kid in a candy store with this thing. He even takes it too the mailbox everyday. Tyler has been a semi-sponsored rider for many years now and unfortunately when his old house burned down in 2008, looters stole his race bike and stripped this one of most of it's important parts. Basically he hasn't been able to ride or race and the guy lives for riding. So as of this coming sunday, "Cole Racing" will be re-born when my hunny enters his first race in almost 3 years! I am so proud of him. He has been talking about how much he wishes he had a bike, and could race again and he made it all happen. I haven't seen him this happy in such a long time. AND perk for me he gets out of the house and off the dang XBOX! EVERYONE WINS!

I'M BACK!

I took a break from the blogging world, but I have returned! A lot has been going on for our little family, life certainly has been happening fast. This time around with blogging I have decided to make it less of my "complaining" and a whole lot more about cooking, baking, crafting, and the good things that are happening for us. Enjoy!
